You Listened To The Podcast Now See The Art
These five-foot paintings began their journey as discarded community centre tables—the kind that had seen years of potlucks, birthday parties, after-school programs, and neighbourhood gatherings. When the centres renovated, the tables were set to be thrown out. Instead, we rescued them, hauled them back to the studio, and handed them off to a group of Ottawa’s most inspiring artists.
What happened next turned trash into legacy.
Each artist approached their table like a blank chapter in a shared story, layering paint, texture, and meaning onto surfaces that had already lived full community lives. The result? One-of-a-kind large-scale works that blend sustainability, creativity, and the raw spirit of Ottawa’s art scene.
These pieces aren’t just paintings — they’re physical reminders of what happens when artists reclaim overlooked materials and transform them into something bold, beautiful, and full of soul.
Every table is featured in our Round Table Sessions Podcast, where we dig into the stories, struggles, and creative sparks behind the work. Now, you can bring one of these artworks home and own a piece of that journey.
Local. Sustainable. Authentic.
Art made from the community, for the community.
